Officer Davies told Ms. Evans to remain calm and that he needed her to tell him everything she had seen.
Ms. Evans, trembling, said that it had been awful, that they had just burst in with masks, and that she had never been so scared.
Officer Davies asked if she could describe the individuals and how many there were.
Ms. Evans said that she thought there were three, that they were tall, all wearing black, and that one of them had a red bag.
Officer Davies asked if she had gotten a good look at their faces.
Ms. Evans said that she hadn't, that they had been completely covered, and reminded him that they had been wearing masks.
Officer Davies said that he understood and asked if they had said anything.
Ms. Evans said that they had just said, "Everyone down!" and then, "Give us the money!" and that they had shouted.
Officer Davies asked her to try to remember any details, anything at all, and asked if she had seen which direction they had gone.
Ms. Evans said that they had run out the main doors, towards the parking lot, she thought, and that she had been too busy trying not to faint.
Officer Davies asked if she had seen any vehicle, a car, a van, or anything.
Ms. Evans said that she hadn't, that she had been too focused on the robbers, and asked him to let her sit down.
Officer Davies told her that he needed her to stay there for a few more minutes, that they might need her to identify them later, and demanded that she give him any further details she remembered.
Ms. Evans said that she didn't think she could remember anything else right then, and that she just wanted to go home.
Officer Davies said that he understood she was upset, but that it was important. He requested that she remain there until they had finished processing the scene.
Ms. Evans said fine, but asked if someone could get her some water.
