Past Perfect Simple – Υπερσυντέλικος Απλός

Περιγράφουμε μια πράξη:

Που συνέβη στο παρελθόν (πριν από μια άλλη πράξη στο παρελθόν): Mary had eaten breakfast before I got up.
Η πρώτη πράξη είναι had eaten (past perfect) και η δεύτερη got up (past simple).
Σπάνια συναντούμε τον Υπερσυντέλικο μόνο του σε μια πρόταση.

Πρέπει να θυμάστε:

Ο Υπερσυντέλικος δείχνει ότι κάτι είχε τελειώσει στο παρελθόν πριν από μία άλλη πράξη.

Παράδειγμα:

Είχα διαβάσει για το διαγώνισμα της επόμενης μέρας όταν τηλεφώνησε η φίλη μου, η Άννα.

Πρώτη πράξη: είχα διαβάσει

Δεύτερη πράξη: (πχ. μετά από λίγη ώρα) τηλεφώνησε η φίλη μου

Άρα:

Η 1η πράξη χρονικά ‘μπαίνει’ στον υπερσυντέλικο.

Η 2η πράξη χρονικά ‘μπαίνει’ στον αόριστο.
