Expressing futurity


Στην ανάρτηση αυτή θα εξετάσουμε τους τρόπους με τους οποίους μπορούμε να αναφερθούμε σε γεγονότα και καταστάσεις που θα συμβούν στο μέλλον ... μακροπρόθεσμα ή βραχυπρόθεσμα.

Future Simple - Στιγμιαίος Μέλλοντας (= θα παίξω)

   ΥΠΟΚΕΙΜΕΝΟ + WILL + ΑΠΑΡΕΜΦΑΤΟ (Bare Infinitive)   



1. Χρησιμοποιούμε τον Simple Future για να εκφράσουμε σκέψεις, απόψεις ή γενικές προβλέψεις για το μέλλον,
π.χ. In fifty years, students will have the choice of going to school or studying at home.

2. Αποφάσεις που παίρνουμε αυθόρμητα, τη στιγμή που μιλάμε.
e.g. The phone is ringing. I will answer it.

3. Για υποσχέσεις, απειλές, παρακλήσεις και για να εκφράσουμε την προσωπική μας άποψη.
e.g. Promise me that you won’t do it again.
e.g. Do your homework, or I’ll call your father.
e.g. Will you get me some bread on your way home?
e.g. I think he will be a successful scientist one day.

Key Words (=Λέξεις κλειδιά): 
tomorrow, next week, next month/year, in the future, I think..., I am sure...

ΧΡΗΣΗ: 
1. Για κάτι που είμαστε σίγουροι ότι θα συμβεί (100%) καθώς βασιζόμαστε σε ενδείξεις-αποδείξεις χρησιμοποιούμε be going to.
e.g. Look at the clouds. It is going to rain.

2. Για κάτι που είμαστε αποφασισμένοι να κάνουμε στο μέλλον:
e.g. When he finishes school, he is going to look for work in the tourist industry.

e.g. I am going to the dentist this evening.
e.g. Tina is leaving to New York next month. (she has bought the tickets)
